Illiterate speech conforms to:

- small volume of words;
- missing of idioms and epithets;
- bad pronunciation
Deficiency of a habit to read every day and learn something new leads to a lacking of intellection and, consequently, poor speech.
How to improve your lexical resources, speech and, thus, become smarter ?
It is not a secret that literate speech enriched in big quantity of words and especially idiomatic expressions or IDIOMS.
Reading , learning and using the IDIOMS make person’s speech more literate , better and brighter, doesn’t it?
To prove that we decided to ask our classmates to think over a simple story without idioms and with ones! That ’ s what we have got!
- Story about the Snowman. (written by L.Pimankina 7 form A)
- One winter two girls made a snowman. That snowman was unusual and when the girls went home it became alive. The snowman went to the forest and played on the field. In that forest he found a lot of friends. They liked him and cared for the snowman . Then , snowman went to school . Occasionally, he became a good pupil. But winter finished and the snowman felt badly. One day he disappeared and turned into a bunch of white snow. The snowman really wanted to go back but it just happened the following winter.

He really wanted to get back , but it just happened the following winter.

- IDIOM is something NEW which can be used not only as colloquial expression but also in formal style and in a slang.
We can express the same information in different ways , using the different language level, which directly depends on a person’s intellection!
Analyzing it ,as we can notice, idiomatic expressions strengthen understanding of language culture and the culture of intellection.
Our examples have shown us that forming a thought through a speech, which is rich of idioms, we reflect a higher level of our intellection!
