Greeting

  • Hello my dear friends.

  • Who is on duty today?

  • What date is it today?

Warm up

Before to start our lesson I want to divide you into four groups. Pupils please come here and take one card. Thank you. Now please find your seats, find your group.

Say the rule of the group.

Today we’re going to read a story and do some tasks.

Lead-in

Now, please look at the cards and make predictions about the text which we are going to read.

Task 1. To reading the text for gist. Jigsaw reading. I want to give you numbers. 1.2.3.4. Now please, who is the number 1 rise up your hands? Good! Number 2, 3, 4? Well done. Number 1 please stand up and sit here. Divide into 4 group.

Ask pupils to find the answer to the question

Who is Mr Bingham?

To check their understanding the text ask them to show you the “Traffic light”

Task 2. To help pupils look more closely at the story.

Think. Put the sentences in the correct order.

Pupils work in group. They read the story carefully and put the sentences in the correct order.

Game “WHO AM I?”

The rule are simple. I’ll give you a cards with names of the person. Stick it in your head or hold it with your hand. Ask questions. Guess who you are.

Pupils repeat the words after the teacher.








Pupils will read the part of the story and check understanding. Students then pair up with someone from the other group and tell them about their story, and listen to the other one.
